Scribe and Grow started with fun and thoughtful greeting cards, cards you can plant after use...how cool is that!?
Based on the Isle of Skye all our cards are made with Paper Grow sheets.  Paper packed full of bee friendly flower seeds and made from 100% Pre-consumer recycled cotton or paper made from other sustainable material.  

​Scribe and Grow soon evolved focusing on creating a platform for fun, sustainable gifts.  More fun and stylish products were added into the mix including zero waste candles & even skincare!

Meet the team...

Izzy Cunningham, Founder

Since 2017 I have lived and worked on the beautiful Isle of Skye. It was here that Scribe & Grow was founded.

Prior to our move to Skye my husband John and I lived in London where I worked as an event organiser for Burberry the iconic fashion brand.

I loved the challenges and thrill of working in a fast-paced, time-pressured environment. I also gained insight into the process of providing desirable products of the highest quality.

Whilst we loved our time in the city, eventually stress took its toll on my mental health and it was time to leave. After a brief stay in Edinburgh, we moved to the Isle of Skye. Our main goal was to live a simpler life whilst focusing on starting a family. Much to our delight Phoebe and then Alfie arrived and life was good....

 Sometime later covid struck and the income from our small holiday cottage disappeared overnight. With a sense of purpose and the very real need for an income, I began to work on ideas for a business, and Scribe & Grow was born. Today I divide my time between growing the business and caring for a young family.

 

Ella Meekham, Manager

Ella is a local lass from the Highlands of Scotland, born and raised. A qualified early years practitioner, she does supply work alongside her role at Scribe & Grow. This flexible lifestyle allows her to balance work and family life, raising her two kids, Kirsty and Coll, as well as her awesome dog, Murphy. Daniel, her partner, works full-time while also volunteering with the Royal National Lifeboat Institution and taking on part-time duties with the local Fire Brigade. It's a very busy, active family!

 Ella started freelancing with us in November 2023 and hasn’t looked back since. While she occasionally struggles with anxiety, which can affect her daily life, her creative and relaxed approach to her role at Scribe & Grow has been a great way for her to manage those challenges.

 As the business has grown, Ella has become an integral part of Scribe & Grow, offering invaluable support and a healthy dose of banter along the way.

 Her skills and passion for what we do are truly fantastic!
